Kerry is primarily a documentary-style family photographer, although she dabbles in other genres such as couples, weddings, street and commercial photography when time and opportunity permit. There is a Cantonese saying that roughly translates into ‘eyes greedy, stomach tight’. In photography terms, she wants to try everything but is limited by her lack of self-discipline and her self-appointed duties as caretaker of children (her own). Kerry lives in Singapore with her husband and two young sons - Singapore being almost the literal embodiment of a ‘concrete jungle’ dotted with government-mandated swathes of green. Coupled with intense sunlight for most of the year, the city-state presents many opportunities for chasing dramatic light and people watching - both essential ingredients for interesting street photography .
